But even by their own talismanic standards, the duo’s 2012 collaboration as Storm Corrosion exists in its own psychedelic lane of peculiarity, immersing listeners in a world of haunting and unsettling ambience like no other.
Now available as a Headphone Dust Deluxe Atmos Edition, this release brings together the complete contents of the 2024 Kscope Blu-ray reissue into one comprehensive digital package. This definitive collection features the album’s six ground-breaking tracks in a new Dolby Atmos remix by Steven Wilson, alongside the original Hi-Res Stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound mixes.
Also included is the haunting music video for Drag Ropes, directed by Jess Cope of Owl House Studios, newly upscaled to 4K for this release.
A separate bonus content MKV file is also provided, containing the full Storm Corrosion mini documentary. This file also includes the live recording of Drag Ropes, the only song the duo has ever performed live, captured during Mikael Åkerfeldt‘s guest appearance at Steven Wilson’s Royal Albert Hall performance in September 2015, plus original demos for Drag Ropes and Hag.
